Young User Safety Policy
As Gala İlaç ve Yazılım San. Tic. A.Ş., we consider it a fundamental priority for all our users, especially young individuals under the age of 18, to have a safe, informed, and positive experience on FuudUp. Within the scope of this policy, "Young Users" refers to FuudUp users between the ages of 13–18.
FuudUp is a platform that provides content sharing with a focus on social gastronomy. We implement various technical and operational measures to ensure the safety of young users.
1. Age Limit And Account Creation Rules
1.1. Minimum Age Requirement
- Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account on FuudUp.
- Accounts found to be under the age of 13 will be removed by the system.
- If a user is found not to meet the required age condition to use certain features, access to those features will be restricted.
- Users who believe there has been an incorrect age assessment may file an appeal request.
2. Safety Measures For Young Users
FuudUp implements the following measures to make young users' experiences safer:
- Activation of more protective privacy settings by default.
- Content restrictions that filter young users' access to potentially inappropriate content.
- Security-based restrictions in areas such as location sharing, interactions, and commenting.
- Moderation that ensures restaurant reviews and content sharing are conducted within safe boundaries.
3. Content Standards Appropriate For Young Users
FuudUp does not allow any content that could cause physical, emotional, or psychological harm to young users.
The following content is strictly prohibited:
- Content containing abuse, exploitation, inappropriate guidance, or risky behavior directed at young people
- Promotion of dangerous, health-harming, or violence-inciting behaviors
- Any sharing that could manipulate young users or put them at risk
In such cases, accounts are immediately suspended, and if deemed necessary, information is provided to relevant authorities.
4. Digital Well-Being Of Young Users
To ensure that young users' interactions on the platform are healthy, FuudUp implements various digital well-being measures such as:
- Algorithmic limitations to reduce unnecessary exposure,
- Default notification settings that prevent excessive notification burden,
- Content guidance aimed at preventing content that could harm eating and drinking habits
5. Role Of Families And Content Transparency
We understand that parents may occasionally share content featuring their children.
In such cases:
- It must be clearly stated that the account owner is an adult.
- Profile information, username, or profile photo is sufficient for this clarity.
6. Reporting, Review, And Cooperation
- You can report an account that you believe may be under the minimum age from within the application.
- FuudUp's moderation team carefully evaluates these reports.
- If serious or concrete threats concerning young users are detected, cooperation with relevant official institutions may be established.
7. Continuous Improvement And Transparency
We regularly review our policies and practices to increase young user safety and update them in line with industry standards, expert opinions, and user feedback.
